Keeping the body in balance during Pregnancy is key to shorter labor

pregnancyAt first glance, most people don’t see the connection between chiropractic and pregnancy. However, there are four stages in which having an optimally working nervous system can help both mother and child.

Pre-Conception
Pregnant mom with child
Many pregnant practice members often report shorter, more pleasant deliveries when they receive chiropractic care.
Chiropractic care prepares the body to be as strong, supple and balanced as possible to carry the pregnancy.

Pregnancy
Regular chiropractic care during pregnancy appeals to mothers who seek a natural approach to better health.

Labor and Birth
Many rely on chiropractic care to help assure optimum biomechanics of the hips and spine in the hopes of reducing the need for interventions during the birth process.

After Birth
Even natural births can stress a baby’s spine. Breastfeeding problems can arise if the baby has a subluxation and is unable to comfortably turn its head to one side. Then there is the common issue of colic.

Conditions & Symptoms

Auto Accident Whiplash

“My treatment with Dr. Hawn has been awesome!

I was involved in an auto accident where I was hit from behind and experienced soreness in my neck and lower back.  I went to 3 doctors; Dr#1 at Urgent Care (who simply evaluated me and referred me to my personal physician), Dr#2 (seen twice and all I received was a neck brace), and then Dr#3 who finally suggested x-rays.  He literally glanced at them and prescribed P.T. at local center.

The P.T. mainly concentrated on EMS (electric muscle stimulation) with light tissue massage. After 2weeks, I was not getting better, and personally did not like their approach.

I finally came across Dr. Hawn.  During our initial consult I felt for the first time, someone actually cares about my well-being!  He took the time to get to know ME; my past physical history, and thoroughly understand the pain I was feeling.  He also requested to see my x-rays.  He took a broad approach to healing.  Well, after evaluating all the information, I met with him again and he explained in detail while pointing out where the pain was originating and devised a plan for treatment.  This is exactly what I needed!

The treatment was successful and I am still pain free.  All those previous doctors could definitely learn from Dr. Hawn’s approach!

Thank you Dr. Hawn!”

Physical therapy and muscle relaxers didn’t work for me

“Physical therapy and muscle relaxers didn’t work for me.  After my accident, the only real relief I got was from Dr. Chris.  He told me it would take time and it did.  But today I can say that for someone who had ongoing pain for over a year, his personalized treatments really changed my life.”

Vibration Wave Therapy after Knee Replacement Surgery

“I had a knee replacement surgery in February 2011 and following that I went through 100 therapy rehabilitation sessions. My knee started to tighten up through all that with scar tissue formation.

I came to Dr. Hawn about a month ago for a neck problem primarily. During my initial consultation he inquired about my knee because I had written down that there was a problem there. He then recommended the Vibration Wave therapy for me in regards to the knee. Since receiving the very first treatment I’ve been able to exercise it much more easily and with less pain, and more mobility.

It certainly work for me

The vibration wave therapy seems to be very relaxing for the muscles and tendons. It greatly took away the stress that I had because I was developing very tight tendons following the surgery. I received   four or five treatments and the tightness has lessened quite a bit.

I hope to recover even better from here on out.”
